On November 6, 2014, the first (Beijing) Music Industry Forum was held as scheduled in the China Communications International Center. In the afternoon, at the symposium, Guy Morrow from Macquarie University in Australia together with Professor John Fangjun Li delivered a speech entitled "The Australian Music Industry." The presentation focused on the background of the Australian music industry, the definition of Australian creativity and copyright, the future development of the Australian artist's career, and the three priorities. In his speech, Professor Guy Morrow believes that at present, the Australian music industry accounts for only 1.5% to 2% of the world's total. Compared to the United States, the amount of Australian music industry imports is much smaller than exports, and the import and export transactions mainly rely on multinational entertainment companies. He pointed out that Asia is an important area for the export of music in Australia. In cities in China, Australian artists toured in Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Hong Kong more frequently. For the future of the music industry, Guy Morrow argues that simply applying the "top-down" model (the way the audience is passively accepted) or the "bottom-up" model Is not desirable, need specific analysis of specific circumstances, to make their own characteristics.
