International Music Council IMC (International Music Council) is a UNESCO subsidiary, was established in January 1949 and is headquartered in Paris. Its purpose is to promote the spread of music between countries and the exchange of music information; to protect the music and cultural heritage of all countries and give full support to modern music creation and music science and technology innovation. Members throughout the world more than 70 countries and regions. Council every two years to hold an international academic conference. From November 21 to November 26, 2013, the 5th World Music Forum, sponsored by the International Music Council and conducted by the Queensland Conservatory of Music at Griffith University in Australia, is held in Brisbane, Australia. Nearly 800 delegates from more than 60 countries and regions in the world gathered in this forum. The Forum discussed the theme of "Music Sustainable Development", "Music Technology and Industry", "Music Education", "Development of Community Music And other issues. With seminars, interactive presentations and free seminars, film shows, exhibitions, thematic performances and master classes and other forms of discussion and exchange.

Professor Zhao Zhian, professor of Music and Recording Arts School of Art Department of our school, was invited to attend this conference and participated in the seminar on "Technology, Innovation and Music Industry" and gave a special speech on "The Development of China's Digital Music Industry". At the "Forum of Leaders of Institutions of International Universities and Colleges in Music Institutions", he introduced the advantages and characteristics of music education, music dissemination and music industry of our school in teaching and research in the fields of media music, music and music, and applied for the Executive Committee on behalf of Music Recording Academy International Music Council unit members.

In view of our school music, sound recording discipline construction highlighted advantages and characteristics at home and abroad, the Executive Committee has agreed to formally accept our hospital as a member of IMC. This creates a benign and interactive platform for the exchange and dissemination of my music and international music sessions, laying a good foundation for the internationalization of my musicology discipline construction.
