Recently, the State Administration of Press and Publication printed the "Reply on Consenting to Establish a Journal of Music Communication" (Document No. [2012] 50), and agreed to establish a "Journal of Music Communication" academic journal. The journal is the second academic journal of liberal arts with an official issue number, which is independently sponsored by our university after the "modern communication".

Music Communication is sponsored by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China and sponsored by Communication University of China and published by Communication University of China Press. It is a Chinese quarterly public offering at home and abroad. The purpose of running the journal is to publish the teaching and research results of music dissemination and related disciplines, to explore the basic rules, characteristics and methods of music dissemination, to provide an academic exchange platform in the field of music dissemination and to promote the development of music dissemination and music education in our country.

The "Music Communication" has been run for more than four years through its internal periodicals. It has received the care and support of the school leaders as well as the guidance and assistance of such units as the Arts Research Institute and the Academy of Arts. During the publication period, the academic and editorial team led by Prof. Zeng Sujin, a professor in charge, devoted a great deal of effort to absorbing specialized teachers both inside and outside the school. Students from all levels of this master-class extensively participated and gradually established an academic Communication, discipline construction and education and teaching practice platform, formed a greater influence in the professional field, laid the foundation for the "music dissemination" into an official publication.

"Music Communication" has become an official publication, reflecting the high recognition of higher education leaders and experts and scholars and further consolidating the academic status of music communication research. As an interdisciplinary music academic periodical with the characteristics of the times, "music dissemination" will contribute to the development of national culture and the development of musicology in a new era. Under the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 17th CPC Central Committee, and in the opportunity of development of arts as a category and our school's authorization of five first-level disciplines of art subjects, "Music Communication" will promote media features of our school Based on the construction of music communication disciplines and the improvement of music dissemination and scientific research as well as the training of high-level personnel, further promote the construction of our discipline of art, the integration of the academic strength of art disciplines, and the enhancement of the comprehensive strength of art disciplines.
