On November 6, 2014,the First (Beijing) Music Industry Forum 2014 has been held at the Communication University of China andthe professional-madeChina Music Industry Report 2014 has been first released.Jun Yuan, a vice president of CUC.，Zhi’an Zhao, Deputy-Dean and Professor of School of Music and Recording Arts at Communication University of China，ZhengmingXu, Deputy-Director of State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television of the People’s Republic of China,Fengkun Mao, Chairman ofMusic Industry Promotion Committee，YanbinZang，vice president of Shanghai Synergy Culture & Entertainment Group，attended forum and made professional statement. The scale of China's music industry reached over 4 billion US dollars in 2013, compared with the games, film and other entertainment industry.It has played an important rolein culture industry area.
The Forum has gathered prominent music professionals and scholars to discuss the development of the domestic music market. And according to the industry report, the market is growing steadily.It was mainly directed against the status quo and development trend of China Music Industry and made a number of valuable reference data and qualitative analysis, to promote the development of China Music Industry which has an important guiding significance. In music product innovation and business model innovation area, Lei Wang(the famous music critic and senior director of NetEase Music) gave his insights, another professional Biao Guo( IFPI chief representative in China) and others also delivered their important speech. In addition, foreign experts and professors also shared ideas in their own research fields related to Chinese music industry. Such as, professor Gilles Demonet at Paris Sorbonne University Gave a speech of “Strengths and challenges for a development of a concert market between China and Europe ”, David HerlihyEsq. gave a presentation of “What if the system we imagined was better than the system we created?”,Prof. Darren Walters form Drexel Universitysharedhis Presentation “Marketing /Disruption:Rebellion in the Digital Age”, Robert Lyons who is former Director of New Media for Radio and TV at WGBH gave a speech of “Music streaming services: Factors in High Adoption Countries”, Guy Morrow and Fangjun Li did their Presentation named “Survey of Australian Music Industry: The Ecological System and Copyright Protection”, and Benjamin O’Hara talked about “What if the system we imagined was better than the system we created?” etc. Their sharing gave all participants very usefulenlightenment to Chinese Music Industry.
